Pure Energy's A. Tamasin Sterner and other stakeholders in the home energy efficiency retrofit business met with Obama for a roundtable discussion prior to his speech (below). Participants included: Stephon Burgess, who was unemployed but recently hired to work on weatherization; Gerald Palmer, president of Southland Insulators; John Shields Jr., Sheetmetal Workers International Association; and Michael Thaman, chairman of Owens Corning building materials company.
